Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Interior Minister, Dr. Nasir Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood, is in Pakistan for a two-day visit to advance the “Road to Makkah” project. This initiative aims to revolutionize the immigration process for pilgrims, ensuring a hassle-free experience for those going to Makkah.
Dr. Al-Dawood’s visit aims to finalize an agreement for the “Road to Makkah” project. This project streamlines immigration procedures at Islamabad Airport for pilgrims, saving them time upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims can complete immigration requirements in their home country and enter Saudi Arabia smoothly.
Dr. Al-Dawood will meet top Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister and COAS General Asim Munir, during the visit. These meetings highlight the significance and mutual cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in implementing the “Road to Makkah” project.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah warmly welcomed Dr. Al-Dawood at Nur Khan Airbase, emphasizing the visit’s significance in strengthening bilateral relations. The visit also highlights both countries’ commitment to ensuring a seamless and hassle-free pilgrimage experience for thousands of intending pilgrims.
Around 40,000 pilgrims from Islamabad Airport will depart for Saudi Arabia this year under the “Road to Makkah” project. This initiative streamlines the entire immigration process, ensuring that all necessary requirements fulfilled at the Islamabad Airport. Pilgrims bypass long immigration procedures in Saudi Arabia, saving time for their spiritual experience.
